Hello, and Happy December!
Today’s blog post is something fairly new to me as a blogger, and definitely something new to Don’t Bend the Spine. Then again, pretty much everything will be new to Don’t Bend the Spine seeing as its still only a few weeks old at the time of writing!
Chelley, of Tales of Yesterday, is hosting the #BritishBooksChallenge18 whereby book bloggers and book lovers alike aim to read and review 12 books by British authors over the year. I want to take part in a few book related challenges in 2018 to keep me blogging, and more importantly, reading! *signs out of Netflix* I’m hoping this challenge will help me to reduce my overflowing To Be Read list. I’m particularly naughty when it comes to Kindle books – I can’t seem to resist the lure of a Kindle Daily Deal.
Here are the books I have chosen as part of the challenge.
2018 Releases
How Do You Like Me Now? by Holly Bourne
Goodbye, Perfect by Sara Barnard
My Heart Goes Bang by Keris Stainton
Our Kind of Cruelty by Araminta Hall
Recommended Reads
After the Fire by Will Hill
Things a Bright Girl Can Do by Sally Nichols
The Power by Naomi Alderman
Sofia Khan is Not Obliged by Ayisha Malik
Random Reads
Miss You by Kate Eberlen
Hold Back the Stars by Katie Khan
The One Memory of Flora Banks by Emily Barr
Mother Tongue by Julie Mayhew
In line with the challenge, I will write a review for each of the books as I read them, so keep checking back if there is a particular one you’d like to read my thoughts on. As always, if there is a specific book you would like me to review on Don’t Bend the Spine, don’t be afraid to get in touch.
